The speakers will offer both a practitioner and academic perspective on topics including the decision to join a family business, managing a family enterprise, succession, wealth management strategies, governance structure and more. The event will be followed by cocktail and apetizer reception. The keynote speakers will run from roughly 3-5pm and feature: William Lauder WG'83: The chairman and former CEO of Estee Lauder Companies will speak about the challenges of joining and running a publicly owned, family controlled enterprise. Laird Pendleton: Founder of CCC Alliance, a consortium of over 100 wealthy, global family offices, will offer a practitioner's perspective on WGA research and speak about multi-generational governance and wealth managment strategies There will be opportunity for Q&A with all the speakers. Feel free to come prepared with questions. The event will be followed by cocktails and apetizers at 5pm in the Hoover Lounge. The event is free for members and $20 for non-members.
